Booking Process

A smooth, transparent repair process

from start to finish.

01 Book an inspection

Start by scheduling an onsite inspection so our team can assess the issue. The typical call-out charge is between $80 to $200 depending on the brand and model. Commercial jobs are currently closed. Residential bookings are entitled to a 30% discount. Priority will be given to online bookings.

If you choose to proceed with the onsite repair, the paid online or upaid on-site call-out charge will be waived. The advance inspection fee is non-refundable, but it can be used as a credit note within one year for any re-inspection visit.

Same-day appointments are subject to tech availability. Emergency services require an additional charge: $80 for a response within 1 hour or $50 within 3 hours. Office hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Appointments after 6:00 PM require an additional charge of $50, and $100 for requests past 10:00 PM, subject to technician availability.

If no one is
on the premises when the technician arrives, there is a 15-minute grace period. Otherwise, the technician will proceed to the next job, and a $20 rescheduling fee will apply for a re-visit.

02 Onsite Diagnosis

Once our tech arrives, they’ll inspect the appliance and perform basic SOP tests to identify the problem without removing any covers unless necessary. Based on the brand, condition, and nature of the issue, we’ll quote a repair range.

Minor repairs for common brands usually fall between $150 to $299, while high-end appliances range from $300 to $499. Major repairs requiring deeper work or diagnosis typically start from $300 and can go up to $690 or more, depending on parts and brand.

Please understand that HomeUnited—like any professional repair service—cannot provide a definitive quote online but generally, the repair budget guidelines are as above. If any repairs exceed 40% of the cost of a new appliance, our technician will suggest a replacement, though the customer can still choose to proceed with the repair.

03 Repair & Replace

If your repair requires specific parts (other than general OEM parts) or new product replacement,  we’ll need your approval and a 50% deposit before ordering them. Because we work across many appliance types and models, we don’t carry parts until a job is confirmed.

For special setups—like appliances that are built into cabinets, stacked, raised on a platform, mounted on a wallor located in tight spaces—there will be an add-on cost between $30 to $120 to cover the difficulty and extra work and cannot be waived.

Typically for Washer repair that have :

1. Stack vented dryer $30

2. Stack condenser dryer $60

3. Stack heat pump dryer $90

4. Stack dishwasher $120

5  Raise on platform $30

6. Mounted on Wall $60

For others that are:

1. Conceal in cabinet $30

2. Conceal in Ceiling $60

04 Easy Payment

All payments are collected upon job completion unless pre-payment was required (for example, if you aren’t on-site during the inspection). Payment is mandatory for customers who are not onsite.

Once a quote is accepted, we’ll also ask for a 50% upfront payment for schedule reservation and any preparation works or part sourcing

If payer is not onsite, a full advance payment is mandatory upon acceptance of quote to start job.

Call-Out Charge: The transport and inspection fees are bundled and payable once the technician arrives onsite, even if no work is performed due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., rain, locked doors, stacked units, obstructions, or lack of power/water for testing). However, the call-out charge paid online or unpaid on-site will be waived if the quote is accepted.

05 Change of Mind

If you decide not to proceed after onsite quote, the call-out charge is payable. If the issue turns out to be more complex than expected after you have confirmed to proceed, an abandonment fee between $50 and $150 will be charged at the technician's discretion to cover time and effort.

For commercial appliances (currently closed).

For high-end brand repairs requiring specialized insight or extra work, the fee can range from $150 to $300.

If your appliance needs to be replaced with a new set, we will offset the call-out charge toward the new product. The abandonment fee remains at the technician's discretion, and add-on costs cannot be offset.

Any parts purchased are non-refundable. All accepted jobs and 50% deposits paid are non-refundable, and price disputes will not be entertained.

06 Post-work Support

Even after your repair is completed, we’ve got your back.

If your appliance acts up again during the warranty period, we offer follow-up visit at just a $20 transport charge for warranty claims, or $80 for out-of-warranty inspections.

HomeUnited Warranty coverage depends on the service provided and will be clearly communicated before we begin.

Service warranty and Part warranty are 2 separate clause. Therefore, if the parts warranty has expired while the service warranty is still active, the customer can request a follow-up visit by paying only the parts cost and the $20 transport fee.

ELECTRONIC PCB

Note: Inspections for luxury brands like Miele, De Dietrich, Smeg, Gaggenau, or Bosch are limited to minor problems that do not require parts and if needed will source for OEM parts subject to availability

For major repairs requiring custom parts or electronic PCBs, it is often better to contact the official brand agent directly as some brand do not sell such Parts to 3rd party repair company and if we manage to get from them will not have warranty and are at risk and will need to add on warranty cost thereby making the repair cost not economical.

Furthermore, replacing electronic parts in older units is often technically unfeasible because existing power fluctuations or surges can easily damage the new components. Therefore, HomeUnited strongly recommends contacting the brand agent or purchasing a new appliance of economical brand product.
