Job Process

Please read the following before booking online:

HomeUnited does not carry all parts.

As a multi-brand and multi-model appliance service company,

we do not stock or bring parts prior to attending the initial inspection.

1 Call Charge

Call Out Charge:

The transport and inspection fees are bundled and payable once the technician arrives onsite, even if no work is performed due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., rain, locked doors, stacked units, obstructions, or lack of power, water, or gas to test). Rates start from $80 for most economy brands (refer to the online booking form price list).

However, the call-out charge paid online or unpaid on-site, will be waived only if the quote is accepted to proceed by the customer.

  • For the 2nd item onward, the call-out charge is reduced by $20. If the quote is accepted, the agreed call-out charge is waived.
  • All integrated appliances carry a $200 call-out charge.
  • Commercial jobs are currently closed.

2 Price Range

Repair Price range:
Minor repairs for common brands usually fall between $150 and $299, while high-end appliances range from $300 to $499.

Major repairs requiring deeper diagnosis typically start at $300 and can go up to $690 or more, depending on the brand.

  • Quotes do not include the call-out charge paid online or unpaid on-site, but the call-out charge is waived if you choose to proceed with the repair per item.

  • Note: All prices provided by customer service are estimates and are subject to change based on the technician's onsite evaluation. Price guides cannot be used to dispute final onsite quotes.

3 Add On Cost

Inspection Add-On cost :

A $30 add-on fee applies to stacked units, concealed spaces, raised platforms, enclosed areas, high ceilings, wall-hung appliances, or other job difficulties.

  • Unlike the call-out charge, add-on costs cannot be waived even if the repair quote is accepted.

  • Any specific work risks or job difficulty costs will be communicated prior to your appointment.

  • Onsite inspections generally do not require dismantling units unless necessary, as our technicians follow standard operating procedures for testing and quoting.

4 Payment

HomeUnited Payment Protocol:

Pre-payment via PayNow to

MariBank (UEN: 26393700C) is required for the inspection fee and accepted quotes if the payer is not onsite.

  • Commercial jobs are currently closed.

  • Payment is due immediately upon job completion.

  • Upon accepting a quotation, a 50% deposit is required to source parts or begin processing. Deposits are non-refundable barring valid circumstances, and price disputes will not be entertained.

5 Abandon Fee

Abandon fee $50 to $150:

Abandonment Fee ($50 to $150): This fee covers the time and effort spent if a customer cancels an accepted job or abandons the repair.

  • If hidden complications arise during the repair process that require extra costs, and you choose to cancel, an abandonment fee between $50 and $150 will apply at the technician's discretion.

  • If you opt for a major follow-up repair, the abandonment fee can be offset (this does not apply to new product replacements).

  • Purchased parts are non-refundable, and all call-out fees are strictly non-refundable, though they may be issued as a credit note valid for one year at HomeUnited's discretion.

6 Re Visit/Complain

REVISIT TRANSPORT $20:

If the quote is not accepted onsite, all add-on and call-out inspection fees remain compulsory and payable without dispute. If you decide to proceed at a later date, a $20 revisit transport fee will apply.

  • During the warranty period, a $20 complaint visit transport fee applies. Parts carry a standard 3-month warranty (unless expired within the active service warranty).

  • All warranties are specified by the technician on a case-by-case basis.

  • If no one is on the premises when the technician arrives, there is a 15-minute grace period before the technician moves to the next job, and a $20 rescheduling fee will apply.

ELECTRONIC PCB

Note: Inspections for luxury brands like Miele, De Dietrich, Smeg, Gaggenau, or Bosch are limited to minor problems that do not require parts and if needed will source for OEM parts subject to availability

For major repairs requiring custom parts or electronic PCBs, it is often better to contact the official brand agent directly as some brand do not sell such Parts to 3rd party repair company and if we manage to get from them will not have warranty and are at risk and will need to add on warranty cost thereby making the repair cost not economical.

Furthermore, replacing electronic parts in older units is often technically unfeasible because existing power fluctuations or surges can easily damage the new components. Therefore, HomeUnited strongly recommends contacting the brand agent or purchasing a new appliance of economical brand product.
